Martial arts hone self-defense skills while getting hearts beating, which is why an army of black belts is the government's first line of defense against an uprising of sentient defibrillators. Guard against every contingency with today’s Groupon: for $39, you get eight children's martial-arts lessons and a uniform at Martial Arts America (a $149 value). Choose between the Dublin and Fremont locations.

For more than 30 years, Martial Arts America has filled the minds and fists of young people with the focus, discipline, and confidence that comes from studying self-defense. A schedule of confidence-boosting Tiny Tigers and beginners' programs host intimate classes of 8–15 students (ages 3–12) on a quest for fun fitness. Kids learn the assertive poise of taekwondo stances and forms that strengthen limbs or the grappling moves of jujitsu, adding throws and rolls into martial-artist repertoires. Guests can trade in their fists of fury for a pair of fighting sticks during eskrima classes, learning how to parry, joust, and protect innocent civilians from rogue baseball-pitching machines.

Limit 1 per person, May buy 1 additional as a gift. Limit 2 per visit. Must activate by 3/1/12, lessons expire 4 weeks from activation date. Valid only for option purchased. Must be between ages 3-12. Must sign waiver. New clients only. Classes are non-transferable.

Irma: Once again, I would like to caution and warn all friends/family about using Making Waves Boat Rental - today's horrible experience was the final straw. They are unprofessional, insulting, idiotic, and completely the worst experience I've EVER had in a transaction. I would rank this up there with having to deal with an insurance company over an EOB. The WORST EVER. If you value your heart rate, san

Pam: I would avoid this company. I bought this deal in January and as of today 5/7/12 I still have not received the doll. It was over three months before I got the 1st email proof which looked nothing like the picture I submitted not to mention the paint job looked like a kid did it. Got final proof today. Looks nothing like my daughter, not even a little. It is NOT worth the time or money. Poor q

Brian: We recently purchased a seeding, aeration and fertilizer combo deal from these guys through living social. Scheduling the appointment proved to be a nightmare. Twice they no-showed without giving any kind of notice or explanation. They are not prompt at all to return phone calls and tend not to leave a message if they ever do call back. We ended up terminating the service and requesting a refund a

Spark: I purchased this deal and had to turn them away. Out of 19 bucks. They wanted to do only 1 hour of cleaning and not up to 2 hours as stated in the fine print. Also it would have been an additional 25 bucks for the pets even though it was only 1 hour of cleaning.

Tee: I feel that MedSlim is a complete scam!! After purchasing 3 treatments for $219, I was told that I see immediate results after the first treatment, but after 3 within the same week, there were no instant results as were promised, as a matter of fact its been since February and still no results. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, it's a complete ripoff!!

M: I would NOT recommend Superior Touch Auto Spa. He claims to guarantee his work, but is very evasive answering and returning phone calls when he sells tint that bubbles up.
  • Groupon Review
Cc: If I could give less than a single star I would. I bought a Groupon from this place and he refuses to honor it until I prepay a mandatory $40 gratuity fee via credit card. He also wanted an additional $10 because 11:30pm was too late to pick us up (even though the Groupon states up to midnight). Nowhere on the Groupon does it say prepaid gratuity is mandatory. It say "a 20% gratuity is suggested".
