Her month-long curriculum unveils proper kicking form and tests students’ mettle with poomsae bouts, in which students grapple with an invisible opponent to practice attacks, learn defense, and exact revenge on imaginary friends. Groups progress to one-step sparring sessions that put drills into practice and board-breaking exercises that imbue feet with the power and confidence to turn wood into splinters.
